The Team – your impact
As a working student, you will assist the Sustainability Manager Digital Technology to develop and implement the unit’s sustainability strategy. The aim is to identify opportunities to reduce E.ON's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and improve sustainability performance through the use of digital technologies as well as within the unit itself. You will assist with calculating GHG emissions, track their progress, identifying and implementing reduction initiatives, research, coordination, and internal communication.

Your Role – meaningful & rewarding

  • Support the development and implementation of sustainability strategy including identifying opportunities to reduce GHG emissions and improve sustainability performance in and through digital technologies
  • Assist in preparing presentations, coordinating meetings, internal updates, and communication materials related to sustainability topics
  • Conduct research on sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices relevant to sustainable use of digital technologies
  • Support in collecting and analyzing sustainability-related data
  • Assist in reporting and monitoring progress on sustainability goals

Your Profile – authentic & open-minded

  • Currently enrolled in a university program in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Energy Efficiency, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Initial knowledge or academic exposure to topics like carbon footprinting, sustainable IT (e.g. green coding, cloud-related initiatives), or ESG
  • A collaborative team player, eager to learn, organized, and self-motivated
  • Passion for sustainability as well as technology and a genuine interest in contributing to the energy transition
  • Fluent in English is essential; proficient in German is considered a plus.
