As a Working Student (d/f/m) in our Solution Architecture team, you will have the chance to work hand in hand with our Lead Solution Architects in designing and improving our day to day work in Software Development at RWE Renewables while continuously monitoring and evaluating up to date trends in Artificial Intelligence. This position provides a great opportunity to contribute towards the ambitious growth plans of RWE's Growing Green Strategy, using and enhancing your existing technical knowledge for good combined with a steep learning curve.
About the role
- Develop and integrate advanced AI/ML use cases into our Backstage-based developer portal
- Enhance user experience by creating RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems or intelligent assistants to streamline API integrations and answer domain-specific questions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AI features across the value chain
- Continuously explore new AI technologies and tools, staying updated on industry trends and best practices
Job requirements and experience
- Ongoing studies in the field of Information Technology, Business Information Systems or comparable (with at least twelve more months until you graduate)
- First experience in software development, ideally with experience in web applications and API management.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or JavaScript, with a focus on AI/ML libraries and frameworks
- Familiarity with Backstage or similar platform ecosystems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in an international environment
- Passion for innovation and a proactive approach to improving developer tools and experiences
- Self-driven and autonomous working style in an international working environment and virtual teams with a home-base in Essen
- Confident in speaking and writing in English, German skills are beneficial but not mandatory
