Role : Vehicle IT Operations Lead-MES

Location: Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany

Contract

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery across AMS, DevOps, enhancements & continual improvement.
  • Lead due diligence, knowledge transfer, shadowing, reverse shadowing, cutover & hypercare.
  • Act as the primary interface for Customer stakeholders, SIAM, plant/business owners, application owners & partners.
  • Govern SLAs/KPIs, incidents, problems, changes, releases, risks & service improvements.
  • Coordinate onsite, nearshore and offshore teams, value-stream leads and technical specialists.
  • Lead major incident management and production recovery across logistics, sequencing, quality and shop-floor applications.
  • Establish SOPs, runbooks, knowledge repositories, escalation paths and backup coverage.
  • Drive automation, Shift-Left, observability, DevOps adoption, technical-debt reduction & modernization.
  • Ensure security, audit, business continuity, data protection and plant change-control compliance.
  • Provide executive reporting and service/transformation governance.

🔹 Must-Have Technical / Functional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of production planning, body, paint, assembly, quality, logistics and vehicle release processes.
  • Experience with MES/MOM, SAP, sequencing, JIT/JIS logistics, quality and shop-floor integration applications.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes – Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Knowledge & Major Incident Management.
  • Experience with AMS & DevOps operating models, transition governance, SIAM integration and service readiness.
  • Expertise in SLA/KPI governance, risk & dependency management, automation, AIOps and observability.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across customers, SIAM, vendors and globally distributed teams.
  • Self-driven leader with the ability to mentor teams, manage escalations and drive outcome-based delivery.
