Your Responsibilities
The Test & Release Team Manager leads the ASV Test & Release organization and is responsible for testing, release management, and customer deliveries. The role combines people leadership, strategic development, and hands-on execution, offering the opportunity to shape and grow a high-performing team.
Leadership & Organization
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Release Managers, Test Engineers, and Test Automation Engineers across sites. Define and execute the Test & Release strategy aligned with business objectives and product roadmaps. Drive organizational growth, capability development, and resource planning. Foster a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with Developers, Architects, Product Managers, and Customer Support.
Testing, Release & Customer Delivery
Define and execute the test strategy for ASV products. Plan and coordinate testing, software releases, patches, hotfixes, and customer deliveries. Integrating from multiple development streams into quality releases every sprint. Ensure sufficient validation coverage and release readiness. Continuously improve testing, release management, and deployment processes. Ensure customer feedback and field issues are reflected in testing and release planning. Ensure predictable, high-quality software deliveries.
Test Automation & Continuous Improvement
Define and steer the test automation roadmap. Support the adoption of automated testing solutions to improve quality and efficiency. Drive continuous improvement based on quality metrics and customer feedback.
Hands-On Contribution
Actively support testing, release coordination, and customer delivery activities. Contribute technical expertise during critical project phases. Act as escalation point for release-critical issues and delivery risks.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, Release Management, DevOps, or Software Delivery. Initial leadership experience and strong potential to further develop people and organizations. Experience with Agile development, CI/CD, software delivery, and test automation.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of software testing, quality assurance, and release management. Familiarity with Linux-based development and deployment environments. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Hands-on mentality with a pragmatic and execution-oriented mindset. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of ownership, accountability, and customer focus. Fluent German and strong English communication skills.
