Solutions Design Manager – Contract Logistics

Salary: €85,000 – €95,000 + package
I’m recruiting for a leading international logistics business that is continuing to invest heavily in the growth of its Contract Logistics operation across Europe.
They are looking for an experienced Solutions Design Manager who can take complex customer requirements and turn them into practical, commercially competitive and operationally deliverable logistics solutions.
This is a highly visible role sitting between Business Development and Operations, with the opportunity to influence major tenders, new customer solutions and the ongoing optimisation of existing operations.
The role:
- Design Contract Logistics, warehousing and transport solutions
- Support major RFQs, RFPs, tenders and new-business opportunities
- Analyse customer volumes, flows, capacity, productivity and operational requirements
- Develop solution concepts, operating models and commercial business cases
- Work closely with Business Development, Operations, Pricing, Finance and Engineering
- Identify cost-saving, productivity and process improvement opportunities
- Support implementation and mobilisation of newly won operations
- Identify opportunities around automation, technology and continuous improvement
What we’re looking for:
- Strong background in Solutions Design, Logistics Engineering or Contract Logistics
- Ideally 7–12+ years relevant experience
- Good understanding of both warehousing and transport operations
- Experience supporting tenders, RFQs/RFPs or complex logistics projects
- Strong analytical and modelling capability
- Understanding of logistics cost drivers, capacity and operational economics
- Comfortable working directly with both customers and senior internal stakeholders
- Fluent English; additional European languages are advantageous
