(unlimited, full-time) Join our team at our location in Verl, Baden-Baden or Berlin – flexible working conditions available

Are you ready to lead the transformation of a mission‑critical Microsoft Dynamics platform that has grown large and complex over time? We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Lead (m/f/d) to guide our senior, highly skilled Dynamics & Power Platform team in taking our CRM landscape to the next level. This is more than a leadership role — it’s an opportunity to streamline, optimise, and re‑architect a platform that underpins Sales, Marketing, and Operations, making it leaner, more accessible to other systems, and ready for future innovation. You’ll be working with a team that is highly knowledgeable, creative, and solution‑oriented — colleagues who think beyond the obvious and bring ideas from across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

Platform transformation & optimisation

  • Lead the strategic evolution and rationalisation of a large, complex Dynamics 365 platform, ensuring it becomes more efficient, maintainable, and accessible for integration with other systems.
  • Identify opportunities to retire or simplify processes, while modernising architecture and functionality.

Team leadership & empowerment

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of ~8 senior Dynamics engineers — fostering autonomy, creativity, and proactive solution finding.
  • Encourage the team to think beyond stakeholder requests, initiating proposals that enhance business processes and deliver measurable impact.

Technical strategy & delivery

  • Own technical strategy and roadmaps for Dynamics 365 (Sales & Marketing) and Power Platform solutions, balancing new features, modernisation, and operational stability.
  • Oversee architecture, configuration, data model governance, and integrations with other business systems and Azure services.
  • Ensure system performance, scalability, and reliable change/release management.

Innovation & AI enablement

  • Drive adoption of Power Platform capabilities (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI).
  • Embed AI / Copilot functionality into production workflows to improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Maintain close collaboration with Microsoft to adopt new features early and follow best practices.

Stakeholder partnership

  • Act as the primary technical sparring partner for Sales, Marketing, and Operations stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into robust, scalable CRM solutions — with a focus on proactive engagement, not just reactive delivery.
  • Ensure transparency on progress, risks, and priorities through clear communication and reporting.

Engineering excellence

  • Implement and enforce development, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps standards to improve delivery speed and quality.
  • Promote best practices across development, deployment, and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, with hands‑on experience in Sales & Marketing modules.
  • Proven expertise in Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI).
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, API integrations and Azure deployment patterns.
  • Practical experience integrating AI or Copilot features in Dynamics/Power Platform environments.
  • Track record of leading engineering teams or large CRM projects, with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Agile mindset, familiar with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Microsoft Dynamics / Power Platform certifications are a plus.
  • Fluent English; German is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within Germany and internationally.
  • Self‑starter with a high drive to deliver in a fast‑moving, international environment.
