The Task

You will be a Structurer in the Portfolio Structuring team playing a key role within the Origination department, focusing on internal deal structuring, risk-based pricing and risk management.

This role requires strong analytical capability, a deep understanding of energy markets and risk factors, and ability to translate complex deal structures into clear, actionable term sheets for both internal stakeholders and external partners.

Your Responsibilities

  • Identify, quantify and decompose risks of E.ON’s portfolio
  • Analyse, structure and price tailor structured products and develop bespoke solutions to reduce those risks
  • Translate highly complex deal structures and risk profiles into concise, transparent term sheets that set the ground foundation for external negotiation
  • Ensure and take responsibility that structured deals align with portfolio strategy and risk appetite
  • Drive deals self-responsible through internal approval processes by engaging and aligning key stakeholders in Portfolio Management, Risk, Legal, Finance and Senior Management
  • Provide clear risk/reward assessments to decision-makers and serve as internal deal champion
  • Evaluate price structured products and closely collaborate and steer with quantitative analysts to improve valuation methodologies
  • Stay current on market & regulatory developments in energy markets and assess impacts on portfolio risks
  • Anticipate market trends and propose innovative structures to optimize portfolio value

Your Qualifications

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in a Trading function
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Technical skills such as Python or other and database skills is a plus
  • Detailed understanding of European Energy Markets and interaction of commodities / markets
  • Strong understanding of structured products, pricing models and sound quantitative skills
  • Strong stakeholder management to guide colleagues, senior management and take a leading role in the team
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical risks into clear business recommendations
  • Ability to manage your time independently to be able to work under pressure and be a highly reliable contact
