Senior Financial Accountant (HGB/IFRS)
Location: Hamburg, Germany (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
Salary: €75,000 – €80,000

Reporting directly to the VP Finance, you’ll take ownership of financial accounting and reporting across 2–3 software portfolio companies in Germany and Austria, ensuring compliance with HGB and IFRS. This is a hands‑on role in a dynamic, acquisitive environment where you’ll drive accurate reporting, VAT compliance, and process improvements that shape the backbone of a rapidly scaling international business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial statements: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Core accounting: Manage GL, AP, AR, and fixed assets.
- Tax compliance: Support VAT and tax activities.
- Intercompany reconciliations: Ensure smooth group-wide reporting.
- Revenue accounting: Handle recurring and subscription-based models.
- Stakeholder liaison: Collaborate with auditors and advisors.
- Process improvement: Drive automation and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified accountant or Bilanzbuchhalter with strong HGB/IFRS expertise.
- Experience preparing financial statements under German and international standards.
- Background in software or SaaS preferred.
- Skilled at managing multiple legal entities.
- Strong systems and Excel skills, with a focus on process improvement.
- Fluent German and solid English communication skills.
