Purpose of the Role:

As our Procurement Lead (m/f/d) you are responsible for developing and executing global procurement strategies that align with Riverty’s business goals with a direct reporting line into the Riverty Board. This role ensures process and cost efficiency, supplier management, compliance and risk mitigation, and stakeholder management balancing operational and strategic needs across all (strategic) sourcing activities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish Procurement as a central function and build an international procurement team
  • Develop and implement global procurement strategies and processes
  • Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives and strategic supplier negotiations
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive innovation and performance
  • Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers for goods and services
  • Manage contract lifecycle ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., ESG, DORA, supply chain laws)
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and business units to align procurement goals
  • Analyze market trends, risks, and opportunities to inform procurement decisions
  • Drive continuous improvement and digitalization of procurement processes
  • Mentor and guide the procurement team
  • Utilize procurement tools for automation and reporting to monitor spend analytics and supplier performance metrics

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 7–10+ years of strategic procurement experience in an international environment, with proven track record in supplier negotiations, stakeholder engagement, and procurement operations
  • Strong knowledge of ESG and compliance principles, digital procurement tools, and experience in financially regulated institutions (a plus)
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Strategic thinking, business acumen, and data-driven decision-making
  • Leadership and communication skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Ability to handle both strategic and operational procurement topics with a hands-on mentality
  • Adaptability, change management, and collaboration across teams and projects
