Principal/Lead Solution Engineer for Automotive Industry
As a Solution Engineer (SE), also known as a "Presales Consultant," "Sales Consultant", "Pre -Sales Engineer" or "Sales Engineer", you'll be a key player in the sales cycle, delivering thought leadership and owning solutions to enhance our customers' experience.
The SE is an experienced person who works alongside their colleagues, participates in building our team culture and supports their aligned sales team to create solutions for prospects and customers.
To accomplish this, you should have a strong desire to set the vision translating business objectives into enticing and actionable recommendations. The Solution Consultant will act as a trusted advisor to our customers while aiding the customer's transformational journey.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and lead the entire solution cycle through close collaboration with other teams
- Liaise with your sales counterpart "on eye level" to develop new/existing business or account strategy
- Understand the customer's needs, and establish Salesforce's product as the best solution that solves unique challenges
- Convey a deep understanding of the client's industry and technology as it pertains to Salesforce's solutions
- Develop and deliver innovative custom solutions, build and present customized demos of Salesforce products including solution concepts to key decision-makers to address their business issues and needs showing business value
- Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training and certifications to acquire and maintain the knowledge vital to be effective in the position
- Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management
- Lead the technical side of the sales cycle
- Represent Salesforce during Marketing or Partner Events (e.g. Industry demos, industry specific discussions/use cases)
- Have a strong curiosity about growing your career and participating in our internal training programs and mentorship initiatives
- Respond efficiently to RFPs
Required Qualifications and Experience::
- Understanding the unique business requirements of customers within multiple industries and translating/presenting those needs into a compelling vision and roadmap for our customers.
- Experience in Digital Transformation strategies and delivering increased success to their customers
- Track record of solution engineering, consultancy, delivery, or training success for an enterprise software solution organisation. We are open to a variety of backgrounds for the role
- Solid oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication and relationship skills
- Shown time management skills in a dynamic team environment
- Ability to work as part of a team to tackle problems in dynamic, energising environments
- Inquisitive, practical, and passionate about technology and sharing knowledge
- Loves to be the first to know something and to understand why and how things happen
- Out of the box thinker mentality
- Willing and able to travel
- Related Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
- Fluency in German and English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Automotive Industry expertise (OEM and/or Supplier)
- Experience with Salesforce or other leading business applications is preferred
- Minimum of 8 years working experience with large-scale, high-volume SaaS, PaaS, or other cloud provider environments
