Dual Qualified German & European Patent Attorney – Electronics, Computing & Physics
Location: Munich, Germany (Hybrid working – 2 days per week in-office expected)

Are you a dual-qualified Patent Attorney with expertise in tech-driven sectors seeking a dynamic role with a leading European IP firm? We are partnering with one of Europe’s premier intellectual property law firms to recruit a talented attorney for their Electronics, Computing and Physics Group in Munich.
This role offers a hybrid setup, direct client contact, high-level involvement in European Patent Office (EPO) proceedings, and clear avenues for mentoring and business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting & Prosecution: Draft specifications and respond to office actions for complex inventions with minimal supervision.
- EPO Proceedings: Assist with and prepare for Oral Proceedings at the EPO.
- Commercial Advisory: Analyse prior art, advise clients on IP strategy, and assess the status, scope, and validity of third-party IP rights.
- Case & Client Management: Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, attending client meetings and managing end-to-end portfolios.
- Mentorship & BD: Support the training and development of junior fee earners while actively contributing to business development and networking initiatives.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualification: Dual qualified German Patent Attorney (Patentanwalt) and European Patent Attorney (EPA).
- Technical Focus: Strong background in Electronics, Computing, or Physics with the ability to communicate technical concepts to client R&D teams effectively.
- Core Skills: Proven experience drafting claims, prosecuting applications, managing client relationships, and preparing for Oral Proceedings.
- Languages: Impeccable written and spoken German and English.
