About IGNIS:
IGNIS is an international energy company active in the development and management of renewable energy projects across different markets. As part of our continued growth in Germany, we are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team and support our business activities in the German market.
The Role:
We are looking for a mid-level lawyer with at least 3 years of professional experience to provide legal support to our business in Germany.
The role will have a particular focus on administrative law, renewable energy project development and corporate matters, working closely with our local and international teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on administrative law matters related to the company’s activities in Germany. Support the legal aspects of the development of renewable energy projects.
- Manage legal matters involving public authorities, including dealings and negotiations with relevant administrations.
- Support and participate in negotiations with landowners in connection with project development. Provide legal support on corporate matters related to the group’s German companies.
- Draft, review and negotiate agreements and other legal documentation related to the company’s activities.
- Work closely with internal teams and external legal advisors when required.
- Provide practical and business-oriented legal advice throughout the different stages of project development.
Requirements:
- Degree in Law.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Solid knowledge and/or experience in German administrative law.
- Experience in renewable energy project development or a related sector.
- Experience dealing and negotiating with public authorities and landowners.
- Experience in corporate law and corporate matters.
- M&A experience would be considered a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with international and multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluent German and professional working proficiency in English.
