Germany Import Compliance & CBAM Specialist / Consultant

Dajin Heavy Industry is hiring a Germany Import Compliance & CBAM Specialist / Consultant to lead import customs and CBAM compliance for an offshore wind project shipping from China into Germany.

The initial assignment is expected to run for at least three months, with potential for follow-on work across Dajin's future European import activities.

What you will do

• Lead German import customs clearance and CBAM compliance end to end.
• Manage and oversee freight forwarders, customs brokers and other external advisers.
• Review customs documentation, classifications and declarations for accuracy and compliance.
• Handle CBAM registration, reporting, certificates and reconciliation.
• Identify customs, CBAM and logistics risks early enough to protect delivery timelines.
• Liaise with German authorities and Dajin's internal teams as needed.

What you bring

• Strong experience in German/EU customs and import compliance.
• Practical CBAM knowledge, ideally including registration and reporting.
• Experience managing freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Experience with complex industrial imports. Logistics, automotive, steel or heavy industry backgrounds are all relevant.
• Offshore wind experience is an advantage, not a requirement.
• Germany-based preferred, with some flexibility for the right person.
• Strong English communication skills. German language skills are an advantage.

Open to consultants, project-based specialists and suitable permanent candidates. The immediate requirement is project-based, with potential to extend into future Dajin projects.
