General Manager – Germany | Warehouse Automation & Robotics
Location: Germany
Industry: Warehouse Automation / Robotics / Intralogistics
Employment Type: Full-time | Executive Leadership
The Opportunity
We are representing a fast-growing international warehouse automation and robotics manufacturer as they establish and scale their presence in Germany.
The business provides advanced automated storage and material handling technologies, including high-density AS/RS, shuttle systems, autonomous robotics and supporting warehouse software.
They are now looking to appoint a General Manager – Germany to lead the development of the German business and play a key role in their wider European expansion.
This is not a position where you will inherit a large, established organisation. It is a genuine business-building opportunity.
The General Manager will be responsible for:
• Developing and executing the company's growth strategy for Germany
• Building relationships with major end users, system integrators and strategic partners
• Establishing the company's commercial presence within the German market
• Developing a strong pipeline of warehouse automation opportunities
• Identifying the right routes to market and partnership strategy
• Building and leading the German organisation as the business grows
• Providing market intelligence and customer feedback to global leadership
• Acting as a key link between the European market and headquarters in China
• Representing the business with customers, partners and industry stakeholders
• Taking increasing responsibility for the overall performance of the German operation
We are interested in speaking with senior professionals who have:
• Strong experience within warehouse automation, intralogistics, robotics, AS/RS, shuttle systems or AMR/AGV
• A strong understanding of the German and wider European automation market
• Proven commercial leadership and business development experience
• Experience launching, building or scaling a regional business or business unit
• Strong relationships across end users, integrators and automation partners
• Experience building and leading teams
• An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to operate successfully within a high-growth environment
• The ability to combine strategic leadership with a hands-on commercial approach
Languages: English is essential. German language capability is highly desirable. Chinese language capability would be a significant advantage due to regular interaction with headquarters in China.
Why Consider It?
This is an opportunity to become one of the key figures behind the European expansion of a well-funded international automation business.
You will have significant influence over how the German operation is built, including commercial strategy, partnerships, organisational structure and future team development.
