Executive Director competitive Intelligence and Analytics

A leading biopharmaceutical company is seeking an Executive Director to lead market research, competitive intelligence, analytics, forecasting, and brand strategy initiatives for their rare disease franchise.



About the Role

You'll partner with global brand teams to inform strategy, shape competitive positioning, and drive market insights across the organization. As well as leading an experienced team to drive long term strategy for the franchise.



Responsibilities

  • Monitor competitive activities (clinical trials, data releases, conference intelligence) and share with leadership
  • Generate market research that informs brand strategy and long-term financial planning
  • Shape competitive positioning strategies aligned with Global Brand Leaders
  • Communicate competitive insights clearly and timely to leadership and regional teams
  • Engage with Global Brand Teams to align on business questions and market intelligence priorities
  • Drive competitive monitoring at global scientific meetings
  • Build relationships with key customers and demonstrate disease area/market expertise
  • Manage and strategically allocate annual budgets
  • Contribute to long-range revenue forecasts
  • Demonstrate innovative thinking and creative problem-solving



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (business or related field)
  • 10+ years pharmaceutical/biotechnology commercial experience (or 8 years with Master's; 6 years with PhD)
  • Minimum 5+ years in leadership roles in global marketing, market research, and/or competitive intelligence
  • Knowledge of Global regulatory landscape

  • Rare Disease Experience



Preferred Skills

  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Oncology and/or rare disease experience
  • Business development and commercial partnership management experience
  • Brand planning and launch/tactical planning experience
