The Team – your impact
The Automation and Analytics team is dedicated to shaping the technical foundation and enhancement of Software Asset Management and driving data-driven decision-making to ensure strategic direction, license compliance, and operational excellence. As Data Alchemist & Agentic AI Pioneer you will be responsible to introduce and implement automation solutions and AI into our systems, crafting insightful reports, and building and maintaining AI Agents that drive data-driven decision-making. This includes ensuring effective vendor reporting, enhancing Software Asset Management (SAM) tools, and supporting license lifecycle management.
Your Role – meaningful & rewarding
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for seamless AI and data integration across various systems, including Flexera FNMS, ServiceNow, ITSM, and ERP systems
- Define, build, and automate reports and dashboards using Power BI and SAP Analysis for Office (AfO) to provide actionable insights for vendor quality analysis, data management, and risk management
- Identify, create, deploy, and maintain automation solutions and AI Agents using tools such as Microsoft Copilot Studio and Langchain to automate tasks, improve data quality, and enhance decision-making processes, specifically within software asset management, vendor reporting, and license lifecycle management in collaboration with E.ON's nearshore service center
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including Demand Management and SAM teams, to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements
- Proactively research and evaluate new data engineering, automation and Agentic AI technologies and methodologies, especially those relevant to SAM and vendor management
- Support the implementation, optimization, and integration of SAM tools and processes, and develop technical specifications and architectural blueprints for SAM-related systems
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members on data engineering and AI best practices
Your Profile – authentic & open-minded
- Deep understanding of data engineering principles, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes; proven experience in building and maintaining data pipelines using various technologies, e.g. Azure Data Factory and Databricks
- Experienced in data engineering, model evaluation, and proficient in SQL, with extensive expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI and SAP Analysis for Office (AfO); experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus
- Experience with Power Automate and Power Apps for designing and implementing automation solutions, and hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI Agents using relevant frameworks and tools, including Microsoft Copilot Studio and LangChain; solid knowledge of Python scripting; experience with TypeScript is a plus
- Solid understanding of fundamental systems, processes, interfaces and tools relevant to E.ON's data landscape, including Flexera FNMS, ServiceNow, ITSM, and ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of IT governance, compliance standards, and strategic process design
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions, KPIs, policies, and control mechanisms, as well as ability to translate technical concepts into strategic recommendations for executive stakeholders
- Relevant university degree in computer science, data science, or a related field
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
