About the Role

A Works Council Coordinator provides essential administrative and organisational support to a 13-member Works Council. The role ensures meetings run smoothly, deadlines are managed, documentation is accurate, and communication between council members and internal and external stakeholders is effective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and coordinate Works Council meetings, employee assemblies, training sessions, workshops and conferences
  • Prepare meeting materials and manage follow-up actions and documentation
  • Take accurate meeting minutes and maintain records for the council and its committees
  • Act as the first point of contact for Works Council members and coordinate incoming requests
  • Manage correspondence, calendars, deadlines and follow-up dates
  • Prepare presentations, reports and decision-making documents
  • Coordinate travel, invoice checking and administrative records
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive and personal information

Requirements

  • Initial professional experience in an administrative, assistant or secretarial role
  • Experience supporting committees, employee representation or Works Council structures is an advantage
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to work independently
  • High level of discretion, confidentiality and reliability
  • Structured approach to managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Good knowledge of the German Works Constitution Act (BetrVG) is a plus
  • Very good written and spoken German
  • Good English skills (B2 or above) are advantageous
