Working Student AI Engineer / Bachelor’s or Master’s Thesis – AI (m/f/d)


Location: 100% remote within Germany

Start: Immediately

Working student: 15–20 hours per week


Are you studying Computer Science, Business Informatics or a related subject and looking to gain practical experience in AI—or complete your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis within an experienced AI team?


Our client is an established German software and AI company with around 300 employees and strong academic roots. Founded by a university professor, the company combines research-driven thinking with the development of real digital products used by major organisations across Germany, particularly within the financial sector.


You can join through one of two routes:

  • Work as a Working Student AI Engineer
  • Complete an AI-focused Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis with the company


What you could work on

  • Developing AI solutions in computer vision, natural language processing or predictive analytics
  • Supporting the complete machine-learning lifecycle based on CRISP-DM
  • Data understanding, preprocessing, modelling, training and evaluation
  • Researching and evaluating state-of-the-art AI approaches
  • Integrating AI models into existing software products
  • Supporting CI/CD pipelines to automate development and testing
  • Taking ownership of a defined AI project with support from experienced AI engineers


What you should bring

  • Current enrolment in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable technical subject
  • Initial practical or academic experience with AI or machine learning
  • Programming experience with at least one of the following:

Python, TensorFlow or Scikit-learn

  • An analytical mindset and enthusiasm for solving complex problems
  • Fluent German—minimum C1 level—and good English
  • Residence in Germany
