The Role

Our Client is a provider of project delivery and construction management services to the data centre sector. Working alongside hyperscale, AI, neocloud & colo developers to deliver mission-critical facilities on time, safely, and to the highest technical standard. Their teams support projects across EMEA, covering the full lifecycle from pre-construction through to energisation and handover.

Our clients' people typically epitomise strong technical expertise combined with composure under pressure, sound judgement, and an unwavering commitment to programme certainty.

We're looking for candidates who understand the pace and precision the data centre environment demands, and who want to work on projects of genuine scale and complexity.

This is a hands-on role supporting the planning and scheduling function across the project, from mobilisation through to energisation and handover, maintaining clear, accurate visibility of progress and critical path.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed programmes for an allocated package or work area, aligned with the project master schedule

  • Collect and validate progress data from site teams and subcontractors, updating the programme accordingly
  • Produce look-aheads, progress reports, and S-curves for package and project reporting
  • Support programme review meetings, highlighting delays, slippage, and areas requiring corrective action
  • Coordinate with package leads (electrical, mechanical, controls, BMS, civils) to capture interface points and dependencies
  • Support commissioning and energisation sequencing in line with the overall project critical path
  • Assist with the programme impact assessment of variations, change requests, and delay events
  • Maintain accurate document control and audit trail for schedule updates, baselines, and revisions

Requirements

  • Experience as a Planner or Planning Engineer on data centre or other mission-critical construction projects
  • Strong working knowledge of scheduling software (Primavera P6 essential; Microsoft Project advantageous)
  • Experience developing and maintaining programmes across multi-disciplinary packages on large-scale construction sites
  • Familiarity with German and/or EU construction standards and delivery methods (or strong equivalent international experience)
  • Good analytical, reporting, and communication skills
  • Relevant qualification (Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical/trade background)
  • English language proficiency essential; German language skills advantageous but not essential

What's on Offer

  • Opportunity to work on a major hyperscale data centre programme with a leading Developer.
  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience
  • Long-term project with potential for extension
  • Support and guidance provided where possible
