Project Engineer Mechanical (m/w/d)

SilverBack is recruiting on behalf of a leading EPCM contractor for several Project Engineer Mechanical (m/w/d) positions supporting a major industrial construction project in Germany.
Working as part of the project delivery team, you'll act as a key technical link between engineering/design and construction, coordinating mechanical activities and ensuring that design requirements are correctly implemented on site throughout installation and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate mechanical contractors throughout the construction phase.
- Act as the technical interface between engineering/design and construction teams.
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications, technical documentation and vendor submissions.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, vendors, subcontractors and site construction teams.
- Raise, review and manage RFIs and Technical Queries.
- Resolve mechanical design and installation issues arising during construction.
- Monitor mechanical construction progress and support project planning activities.
- Ensure installation works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications and quality requirements.
- Support mechanical packages through installation, completion and handover.
- Ensure compliance with project quality and HSE requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- More than 3 years of experience on industrial construction, process plant or similar large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience working across engineering/design and construction interfaces.
- Experience coordinating mechanical contractors, suppliers or vendors.
- Familiarity with RFIs, Technical Queries, inspections and construction documentation.
- Experience with mechanical equipment, piping or process plant systems is highly desirable.
- Site-based construction experience preferred.
- EU work authorisation preferred.
