Project Engineer MAC (m/w/d)

SilverBack is recruiting on behalf of a leading EPCM contractor for several Project Engineer (Automation) (m/w/d) positions supporting a major industrial construction project in Germany.

Working as part of the owner's delivery team, you'll play a key role in coordinating the Main Automation Contractor (MAC), ensuring automation, control and instrumentation activities are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Main Automation Contractor (MAC) throughout the construction phase.
• Manage automation and instrumentation packages from engineering through installation and handover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, procurement and construction teams.
• Review automation, instrumentation and control system documentation and vendor submissions.
• Raise and manage RFIs and Technical Queries.
• Monitor construction progress and support project planning activities.
• Support FAT, SAT, loop checks and commissioning interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards and HSE requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation or Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
• More than 3 years of experience on industrial construction projects.
• Site-based experience coordinating automation or instrumentation construction activities.
• Experience with PLC, DCS, SCADA, instrumentation, control systems and industrial automation.
• Familiar with RFIs, Technical Queries, quality inspections and construction documentation.
• EU work authorisation preferred.
