We are currently conducting a confidential executive search on behalf of a leading General Contractor operating within the German hyperscale data centre market.
Our client is experiencing significant growth across the region and is looking to identify an experienced Project Director to play a key role in the delivery of major, high-value data centre projects.
This is a senior opportunity for an established construction leader looking to take ownership of complex projects, lead large multidisciplinary teams and work directly with some of the industry's most significant clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and accountability for major data centre projects.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams across construction, engineering, commercial and commissioning.
- Take ownership of programme, cost, quality, safety and overall project performance.
- Develop and maintain senior-level client and stakeholder relationships.
- Oversee project strategy from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
- Manage key commercial, contractual, procurement and risk considerations.
- Drive project governance, reporting and performance across all workstreams.
- Lead and develop senior project teams and ensure effective resource planning.
- Support the wider business with client development, project strategy and future opportunities
Ideal Background
- Proven track record delivering large-scale data centre or mission-critical projects.
- Currently operating at Project Director, Construction Director, Senior Project Manager / Director or equivalent level.
- Strong background with a General Contractor / Main Contractor.
- Experience managing complex projects with significant contract values and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
- Proven ability to manage senior client relationships and high-level project stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of construction delivery, project controls and commissioning.
- Relevant engineering, construction or project management qualification preferred.
