Job title: Project Controls Specialist

Location: Munich

Contract length: 12+ Months

Rate: Negotiable

The Project Controls Specialist will be responsible for supporting the effective planning, monitoring, control and reporting of a major project, ensuring accurate forecasting and strong project administration throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and improve project controls procedures, systems and tools.
• Develop and manage project schedules, programmes and critical paths.
• Support resource planning and cost management.
• Monitor project progress, performance and earned value.
• Manage project change, risks and opportunities.
• Produce accurate project reports covering progress, cost, resources, schedule and key risks/issues.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners and suppliers.
• Identify and communicate schedule risks, issues and required mitigations.
• Ensure project controls activities comply with company, client and contractual requirements.
• Support and contribute to continuous improvement and best-practice project controls.

Essential:

• Right to work in Germany.
• 5+ years of experience in project controls, project management or a similar project environment.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with good Excel capability.
• Experience with project scheduling, reporting and/or cost control.
• Experience with Primavera P6, Power BI, PRISM or similar project controls software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider project team.

Desirable:

• Degree in Engineering, Construction or a related discipline.
• Project Controls or Project Management qualification.
• Experience working on major infrastructure, engineering or construction projects.
