Product Manager – Compliance & Onboarding, Crypto Payments – EU based candidates only / Fully Remote


Plexus has partnered with a fast-growing crypto and payments infrastructure company building the compliance and onboarding layer behind stablecoin and digital asset payments.


The business is looking for a Product Manager to take ownership of compliance and onboarding across its payment product suite. This is a highly hands-on role working closely with Product, Engineering, Compliance and Legal to build scalable KYB/KYC infrastructure, orchestrate requirements across regulated partners and develop the compliance systems required to operate across multiple jurisdictions.


Responsibilities:

  • Own the KYB/KYC onboarding experience across payment company clients, merchants and end customers
  • Build and manage KYB/KYC orchestration across banks, payment providers, liquidity partners and other regulated counterparties
  • Partner with Compliance and Legal to translate regulatory requirements into practical product requirements
  • Help build the compliance infrastructure covering sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, risk scoring and fraud prevention
  • Research regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions and translate them into product and operational requirements
  • Evaluate, integrate and manage third-party compliance and verification tools
  • Drive automation across compliance workflows, including the responsible use of AI
  • Work closely with Engineering to prioritise, scope and deliver compliance products
  • Define measurable onboarding and compliance outcomes and use data to guide prioritisation


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally within payments, crypto or fintech
  • Strong experience with KYB/KYC, onboarding, due diligence or compliance products
  • Understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks such as MiCA, AML requirements, sanctions regimes and US money transmitter requirements
  • Strong understanding of KYB/KYD processes and how businesses are assessed and onboarded across multiple counterparties
  • Experience working with risk, transaction monitoring, sanctions, fraud or related compliance functions
  • Familiarity with crypto compliance, including on-chain transactions and the Travel Rule
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work closely with engineering teams


Nice to have:

  • Experience with crypto payments, stablecoins or digital asset infrastructure
  • Experience with MiCA or other European crypto regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with KYB/KYC platforms such as Sumsub
  • Experience with transaction monitoring or blockchain analytics providers
  • Experience building or integrating developer-facing compliance APIs
  • Experience automating manual compliance or onboarding workflows
  • German language skills
