To meet our high standards every day, we are looking forward to your scientific expertise in the Core Unit for Stem Cell Technology under the direction of Prof. Michael Ziller, Dr. Yotam Menuchin-Lasowski and Prof. Tanja Kuhlmann at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Münster. The advertised position includes both methodological and organizational tasks related to setting up the Core Unit and independent scientific work, in particular in the area of establishing new human stem cell and organoid models - ideally with you on board!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contributing to the structural and methodological establishment of the Core Unit for Stem Cell Technology
Generation, characterization and further development of human iPSC-based organoid and cell culture models
Planning, execution and analysis of experimental work (e.g. differentiation protocols, molecular biology analyses, imaging)
Scientific conception and further development of projects in the field of novel organoid models
Coordination and support of users of the Core Unit (consulting, method transfer, quality standards)
Participation in the establishment of SOPs and quality management
Publication activities and presentation of results
REQUIREMENTS:
Completed doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in the life sciences (e.g. Biology, Human Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related discipline)
Sound experience in stem cell culture (iPSCs) and/or organoid technologies
Routine in cell biological and molecular biological methods (e.g. qPCR, immunostaining, imaging, RNA analyses)
Interest in the methodological advancement of innovative 3D models
Commitment, willingness to work in a team, and an independent working style
Experience in establishing or organizing scientific laboratory units is an advantage, but not a prerequisite
