Plant Director

Melium has been retained by a leading international FMCG manufacturing organisation to appoint an experienced Plant Manager for a significant production site in Germany.

This is a senior site leadership position with responsibility for the end-to-end performance of the operation, encompassing Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, People and continuous improvement.

We are interested in speaking with accomplished Plant Managers, Site Directors and senior Operations leaders who have led complex, high-volume manufacturing environments.

The Role

The successful individual will take overall leadership responsibility for the site, including:

• Operational performance across the manufacturing organisation
• Leadership and development of the site management team
• Safety, Quality, Service, Cost and Productivity performance
• Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence
• Organisational capability and succession development
• Delivery of site improvement and investment programmes
• Cross-functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, HR and wider business functions
• Building a strong culture of accountability, engagement and performance

The Profile

We are particularly interested in individuals with:

• Significant leadership experience within FMCG, Food, Consumer Products or high-volume manufacturing
• Previous responsibility for a sizeable manufacturing site or operation
• A strong record of improving operational performance
• Experience leading through change, transformation or organisational development
• Strong Lean / Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence capability
• The ability to develop both leadership teams and frontline organisations
• Strong stakeholder management skills within an international environment
• Fluency in German and English
