Site Manager & Site Supervisor – Mechanical Ventilation Installation (Data Centre Construction)
We are hiring an experienced Site Manager and a Site Supervisor to support the delivery of largescale mechanical ventilation systems for a hyperscale data centre project. These roles require strong technical capability, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to operate in a high‑pressure, fast‑track construction environment.
Role Overview – Site Manager
The Site Manager will oversee the full on‑site installation of mechanical ventilation systems, acting as the primary point of contact for the client and managing all site supervisors and subcontractors. You will lead daily site operations, manage budgets, variations, and programme updates, and ensure all works are delivered safely, compliantly, and to the highest technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage ventilation supervisors and subcontractors, ensuring workforce deployment aligns with programme.
- Coordinate daily installation activities and conduct progress meetings with supervisors and subcontractors.
- Manage all client-facing interactions and provide weekly internal progress updates to senior management.
- Interpret and enforce mechanical design drawings, BIM models (Navisworks/Revit), and technical specifications.
- Oversee delivery, inspection, rigging, and positioning of high-value ventilation plant equipment.
- Implement QA/QC procedures including pressure testing and ductwork cleanliness inspections (DW144, SMACNA).
- Maintain a detailed snagging system and ensure timely resolution of defects.
- Manage all operational documentation, red-line drawings, and certification for O&M handover.
- Enforce a zero-harm safety culture and review/approve RAMS for high-risk activities.
- Conduct regular safety walks and participate in incident investigations.
- Support Level 2–3 commissioning of ventilation systems.
- Use digital construction tools such as Navisworks, Procore, BIM360, Visalean, Autodesk Build, Fieldwire, Primavera P6, or MS Project.
- Communicate complex engineering requirements clearly to site teams and clients.
Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in mechanical site management delivering large-scale ventilation/HVAC packages.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in data centres, cleanrooms, pharma, or high-tech industrial environments.
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Valid site safety credentials (white card). High-risk permits advantageous.
