Julia Developer
We are supporting an innovative technology organisation looking for an experienced Julia Developer to join its technical team.
The role combines hands-on Julia development and algorithm development with modern software engineering practices. You will work on technically complex problems, developing, optimising and integrating algorithms into robust software solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and optimise algorithms using Julia.
- Translate mathematical and analytical concepts into robust, maintainable software solutions.
- Design, implement and test Julia-based algorithms with a focus on performance, scalability and reliability.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of software components surrounding the algorithms.
- Apply modern software development practices, including version control and CI/CD.
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested production code.
- Collaborate with other technical specialists to take solutions from concept through to implementation.
- Continuously improve existing algorithms, code quality and development processes.
Key requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience developing in Julia, with profound knowledge of the language and its ecosystem.
- Proven experience in algorithm development, ideally involving optimisation, mathematical modelling, numerical methods or similar.
- Solid software development experience, including Git/GitLab and CI/CD.
- Experience developing clean, maintainable and well-tested production software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative technical environment.
