Human Resources Specialist

HR Specialist — Frankfurt | International Fintech

Our client, a European fintech company, is looking for a hands-on HR Specialist to run HR operations and the workplace experience for their Frankfurt entity. You'll be the go-to person for the full employee journey — a varied generalist role with local ownership, working closely with an international People team.

What you'll do:

People

• Own the employee lifecycle end-to-end: contracts and documentation, onboarding and orientations, performance review support, offboarding
• Look after benefits and perks — and help shape them as the company grows
• Run engagement surveys, gather feedback, and turn it into action
• Organize recognition initiatives and team events that keep the culture strong
• Support learning & development programs
• Act as first point of contact for employee relations topics
• Keep everything compliant: German labor law, workplace safety, immigration and visa processes (incl. Blue Card hires)
• Administer the HRIS, attendance tracking, and payroll documentation

Workplace

• Keep the office running smoothly: vendors, supplies, facilities, desk planning
• Coordinate maintenance and health & safety checks
• Organize business travel for the team
• Support budget tracking for HR and office spend
• Coordinate CSR and community initiatives

What we're looking for:

• Experience as an HR Generalist / People Ops / HR Specialist, ideally in a fast-paced international environment
• Working knowledge of German employment law and immigration procedures
• Fluent English (working language); German is a plus, not a must
• A proactive, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset — things change fast, and you enjoy that
• Based in or able to commute to Frankfurt
