Interim HR Business Partner – Germany

Location: Frankfurt, Germany

Working Model: Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite

Contract: Interim, initially 3–6 months

Salary: highly competitive

Language: Fluent German and English required


We are working with a growing international organisation looking for an Interim HR Business Partner to join the team in Frankfurt.


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working across the full employee lifecycle and partnering closely with managers and employees in a fast-paced, international environment.


The assignment is initially expected to run for 3–6 months, with the potential for the successful individual to play an important role in supporting the business through a period of growth and change.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees across the organisation.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance on employee relations, HR policies, performance and people matters.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, promotions, transfers and offboarding.
  • Ensure HR processes and documentation comply with German and wider European employment legislation.
  • Support payroll and benefits administration, working closely with internal and external payroll providers.
  • Maintain accurate employee data and records within the HRIS.
  • Support recruitment activities and work closely with hiring managers and external recruitment partners.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • 3–5 years' experience in an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist or similar HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of German employment legislation and HR practices.
  • Experience supporting managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Previous experience working in an international or multicultural environment.
  • Strong HR administration and HRIS experience.
  • Good understanding of payroll and benefits processes.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Fluent German and English – both written and spoken.
  • A high level of confidentiality, professionalism and attention to detail.
