HR Manager (m/f/d)

ISR – International School on the Rhine seeks an experienced HR professional to undertake the role of HR Manager in our dynamic international school. With a staff of over 200 across our three sites, this is an exciting opportunity to shape the recruitment and engagement at ISR. The successful candidate will integrate into our Administrative team and work in collaboration with our Academic staff, the Finance team, and lead our HR team.

Person specific

Essential:

  • Experience in international environment.
  • Excellent administrative skills, including organisation and planning.
  • Hands-on approach to working.
  • Flexibility of thought and action.
  • Strong personality.
  • German speaking.
  • German labour law knowledge.





Your Tasks

Recruitment:

  • Recruiting for all ISR School and Kindergartens. Onboarding and contract management.
  • Relocating new staff and existing staff (support with flights, apartments, insurances, banking).
  • Managing visa and work permits for staff.
  • Support in allocating company apartments for employees.

Organisational development:

  • Overseeing the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity and morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to understand the organisations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting and retention.
  • Maintaining personnel files and updated staff details.
  • Conducting the annual Intention Survey and communicating results to the management team.
  • Fulfilling government requirements for staff audits.
  • Overseeing monthly overtime calculation.

Legal:

  • Liaising with lawyers, and government authorities.
  • Complying with Government requirements by keeping up to date on legislation.

Exit:

  • Handling discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Creating letters of recommendation, warning letters, confirmation of employment or terminations.
