Your Tasks

Your Key-Responsibilities as Global Category Manager Logistics & Storage include:

  • Developing and implementing a global procurement strategy for Logistics & Storage
  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate contracts and pricing agreements
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their business requirements and ensure that procurement activities align with their needs
  • Managing supplier relationships and monitoring supplier performance to ensure that they meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements
  • Identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives, such as consolidating suppliers, negotiating better pricing, or optimizing supply chain processes
Your Profile
  • Academic degree in logistics or supply chain management, business engineering, business administration or equivalent
  • Several years of professional experience in strategic pruchasing
  • Strong contract management skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation and category leadership skills
  • Outstanding analytical and commercial skills, combined with a pragmatic approach
  • Fluent communication skills in German and English language. French language skills are advantageous
  • Willingness to travel globally
