For our Sustainability Department at our location in Cologne , we are looking for a Environmental Engineering Manager (m/f/d) YOUR TASKS: You will actively shape Birkenstock's self-awareness for environmental and ecological compliance: You compile and manage the records of each environmental initiative operated by Birkenstock and work with the sustainability team to build a deeper understanding of Birkenstock's assigned and other protentional energy innovation areas. Your work is highly conceptual and project-centric, with a special focus on innovations in renewable energy and green improvements: You scope and prioritize activities based on business and client impact, fill innovation gaps, generate new ideas and design action plans and roadmaps for sustainability innovation and improvements. Partnered with the financial and engineering teams as well as suitable contracting companies you set up CapEx requirements and ensure that the projects are well-defined, have a high impact and are successfully executed. Pairing your expertise with the insights you gain from your analyses of environmental data collection and tracking, you know how to prioritize and to convert solutions into strategic and detailed business cases. Under the same premise, you assist with audits for ISO 14001 and ISO 50001:2018 and in doing so work with Birkenstock employees and consultants. YOUR PROFILE: Degree in environmental engineering At least 5 years of professional experience in environmental and waste management and know-how of renewable installations Sound expertise in energy screening processes and knowledge of renewable integration Experience with and understanding of P&ID technical Specs of renewable systems and other energy systems Ability to manage complex projects within multiple factory locations Detailed knowledge of environmental management and waste management procedures and required standards Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, German is a plus Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills and the ability to work methodically to resolve problems with structured document management skills WE OFFER: BIRKENSTOCK offers you all the advantages of a successful, fast growing, global company: dynamic work environment, considerable design freedom, authentic and open corporate culture and excellent development opportunities.
