JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Engine Mechanic, you will be based in Hamburg, Germany, where you will join a mechanical and logistics operations team and contribute to engine assembly, maintenance and technical activities within a demanding industrial environment.


Reporting directly to the Mechanical and Logistical Operations Manager, you will work as part of a team of mechanics and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including logistics, quality, safety, methods and technical support.


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Respect and apply technical work documentation, including Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Service Bulletins and Internal Work Instructions.
  • Perform required unscheduled maintenance activities, including:
  • Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) replacement;
  • Parts replacement;
  • Engine borescope inspections;
  • Inspections and troubleshooting;
  • Other required maintenance operations.
  • Perform standard mechanical and maintenance tasks in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Strictly comply with safety rules and site requirements, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and 5S inspections.
  • Record all interventions and completed tasks in the relevant information systems.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of products and services by:
  • Identifying and reporting risks and deviations;
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement;
  • Proposing corrective actions and improvement initiatives;
  • Identifying and reporting major events or occurrences.
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations.
  • Work on a shift-based schedule, with the possibility of voluntary weekend on-call duties.


YOUR PROFILE

You have a solid technical background in mechanics and engine operation, as well as experience with engine assembly and maintenance documentation.

You ideally have:

  • Solid knowledge of mechanics and engine functioning.
  • Technical expertise in engine assembly and maintenance documentation.
  • Knowledge of PART 21G, PART 66 or PART 145 is an asset.
  • Previous experience in jet engine manufacturing or aircraft manufacturing would be appreciated.
  • Experience using a borescope would be an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience using technical maintenance tools and systems such as:
  • TLB (Technical Logbook);
  • NC (Non-Conformity Notification);
  • Intervention Cards.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work in a structured, safety-critical industrial environment.
  • Fluent spoken English and strong technical English are mandatory.
  • French and/or German communication skills would be an asset.
