Redstone Commodity Search are working with a European, international energy products trading company who are looking for an experienced, commercially minded, demurrage and claims analyst to join their team in Hamburg.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Analyse relevant documentation to prepare accurate laytime calculations and demurrage claims.
- Manage and prepare all documents, and justifications, to pursue claims or escalate as needed.
- Approach claims with a commercial mindset in order to financially optimise the demurrage process.
- Flag any recurring discrepancies to streamline operations and amend and enhance contract language
- Role reports to the Head of Operations
Key Qualifications / Experience
- 2+ years working in maritime transport and logistics.
- Strong experience working in laytime and demurrage analysis and claims
- Exemplary negotiation skills and ability to structure and articulate arguments.
- Capability to be rigorous and detail oriented in a high-pressure environment
- Role is to be located in Hamburg
