Iron Mountain is seeking a vision-driven Critical Facilities Technician to join our Iron Mountain Data Centers (IMDC) team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining the mission-critical systems that keep our clients' vital digital infrastructure running seamlessly 24/7. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
In this role, you will:
- Maintain Critical Infrastructure: Operate, inspect, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on UPS systems, power distribution units, generators, HVAC/cooling systems, fire suppression, and building management systems.
- Manage Operations and Customer Requests: Resolve service tickets, perform technical troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems, and support customer equipment installations.
- Ensure Safety and Compliance: Execute all operations and maintenance activities in strict adherence to safety guidelines, organisational standards, and vendor workflow procedures (MOPs).
What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience of hands-on experience in critical facilities, data center environments, or industrial operations maintaining UPS, HVAC, and generator systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and building management systems.
- Proven ability in diagnosing and resolving complex electrical and mechanical issues while working independently under established procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or completion of a technical apprenticeship program.
