Our client is delivering a new specialty chemicals processing facility in Cologne, Germany. We are seeking an experienced Freelance Construction Site Manager to oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution. Reporting to the Project Director, you will work closely with engineering, HSE, and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction activities across multiple workstreams.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site supervisors.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.
• Monitor project schedules and identify potential risks to completion dates.
• Liaise with project managers, engineering teams, and client representatives.
• Track progress and provide regular status reports.

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in construction management within industrial projects.
• Proven experience managing processing plants, petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing facilities.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, piping, and civil construction activities
• Familiarity with German construction regulations and HSE requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Professional English and German language skills.
