Autonomous Vehicle Safety Operator – Heimsheim
WeRide is looking for safety-focused drivers to support our autonomous vehicle operations in Madrid.
What you will do
- Safely operate and monitor autonomous vehicles during road testing and daily operations.
- Take control of the vehicle when required and follow all safety procedures.
- Complete basic vehicle inspections, preparation, cleaning and EV charging.
- Report road conditions, incidents and abnormal situations clearly.
- Support vehicle testing, demonstrations and other on-site operational activities.
Requirements
- Valid EU-issued Category B driving licence held for at least 2 years.
- Legal right to work in Germany.
- Safe driving record with no major accidents or serious violations in the last 2 years.
- Comfortable working fixed shifts, weekends and in a safety-focused environment.
- Responsible, attentive and able to follow instructions carefully.
- Professional driving experience in VTC, taxi, private driving, delivery, logistics, fleet operations or vehicle testing is highly preferred.
Salary & Benefits
- €3,000~3,500 gross per month
- 22 working days of annual leave
- 5 working days + 2 days off per week
- Fixed morning or afternoon shift after assignment
- Approximately 2 weeks of paid operational training
- Employment contract signed from the first day of training
- Hands-on experience in the autonomous driving industry
Current shifts
- Morning: 07:00–14:30
- Afternoon: 13:30–21:00
