We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing / Assistant Person in Charge to support the leadership and day-to-day management of a well-established nursing home dedicated to delivering exceptional care to older people.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Nursing/PIC in the overall management of the nursing home.
- Lead and supervise the nursing team while promoting best clinical practice.
- Ensure residents receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
- Support compliance with HIQA standards, governance and quality initiatives.
- Assist with staff supervision, mentoring and performance management.
- Monitor clinical documentation, care planning and medication management.
- Promote infection prevention, health and safety and safeguarding best practice.
- Act as Person in Charge in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
Requirements
- Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration.
- Previous leadership experience within a nursing home setting.
- Strong understanding of HIQA standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate teams and promote a positive culture.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional care to older people.
